DIRECTION BRANDING PRINT WEB PACKAGING SOCIAL COLLABORATION
Concept & mission
The celebration of Flume Leather Company's first year in business was a chance for friends and family to take an interactive look back at the first year's worth of work, as well as witness the first impressions of the all new branding system. Flume Leather Company accomplished more than imaginable in its first year, and to show this was evidence of the making process, the first year's work, and the new branding in action. By partnering with our friends at Coffee Beer, we were able to host a gathering and showcase Flume's progress.
project details
The showcase featured three different aspects of the company's progression. The back wall of the venue had a long table full of tools, materials, and examples of process to show how each good is handmade. Down the center of the venue was another long table with some examples of the featured products in past seasonal campaigns. At the head of this table was a large format photo book featuring some of the best shots from past photo shoots. At the forefront of the venue, near the entrance was a table full of brand new products, the brand book, merchandise, and collateral involved in the making of a new branding and visual identity for the small company. By featuring all of these three aspects, our guests had an in-depth look at the process of making Flume Leather Co.
The hardbound photo book and brand book created an interactive piece to the event as well as additional aspects of the event to keep guests entertained outside of the showcase setting. Custom view-masters were ordered for guests to interact with and view certain photos from past product launches. The most expansive aspect of the print involved in this event was the process prints created in the leather dying process. This large format prints were displayed on the wall for all to see.
digital
The event invites relied heavily on a Facebook invite page, Eventbright tickets, as well as instagram posts to promote the event. The day of the event featured a custom snapchat filter. The event also featured a looping video of Luke working in the shop to give the guests some step by step examples of process.
Coordination
By partnering with Coffee Beer, we were able to offer free beer, snacks, good music, and fun times while creating a flow that enhanced the experience for each guest. The layout of the party was intentional to keep the guest moving, looking up down and in all directions, and to have each guest interact with the subject at hand.
